VISITING KINDY

MAKING HUTS IN ROOM 1

Miss Harris pulled some sheets out of a bag and asked the children what they thought we could do with them. Justin suggested we made huts. "YES!!!" Room 1 shouted. Ruma Tahi got busy unfolding the sheets and draping them over the tables. Some children drew and wrote on note pads in their huts. Some children dressed up and used their imaginations to take them to another land. Other children used the huts as a place to chat with their friends. At one stage during our hut making Miss Harris looked up and thought her class had disappeared!! Then she found all her tamariki were in a hut! There was a lot of discussion and new language being used this day. Also a lot of cooperation! Tu meke tamariki!!!
